About me
Dr. Sylvia Whitlock is a trailblazer and humanitarian, celebrated as the first female president of a Rotary Club. Born in New York City and raised in Jamaica, she pursued education and psychology, earning advanced degrees from institutions like Claremont Graduate School. Her leadership in the Rotary Club of Duarte broke barriers, following a landmark Supreme Court decision in 1987. Beyond Rotary, Sylvia has championed global causes, supporting education for girls in India and clean water initiatives in Nigeria.
