Joe Berninger is the co-founder and Executive Director of Cooperative for Education (CoEd), a Cincinnati-based NGO dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty in Guatemala through education. Since 1996, Joe has spearheaded initiatives like textbook programs, computer centers, and scholarships, impacting over 250,000 Guatemalan youth. Under his leadership, CoEd collaborates with the Guatemala Literacy Project and Rotary International to empower underserved communities. Joe's vision continues to inspire sustainable change and educational equity in Guatemala.
Howard Lobb is a dedicated advocate for education and literacy in Guatemala. As the Director of Partner Development for the Cooperative for Education, he has played a pivotal role in the Guatemala Literacy Project, which aims to improve education for underserved students. With over two decades of service, Howard has contributed to initiatives like textbook cooperatives, computer labs, and reading programs. His passion for empowering communities through education has left a lasting impact on countless lives in Guatemala.
